This hat is made with our Warrenfield Sock yarn. This beautiful, woolly and very local yarn is dyed by us in very small batches of limited edition colours. Please contact us for our current colour range if you want to knit Yarn and Needles in Warrenfield Sock.
Tension: 22st x 26 rows over 10cm x 10cm in the round using 4mm circular needles. You will need dpns for the top of the hat and 40cm cord when you have increased to the maximum stitch count. Alternatively you can use a 100cm cord and the magic loop method for working small circumferences in the round. Warrenfield Sock mini skeins, 100m in A, 200m in B, 100m in C, 50m in D, 50m in E, removable stitch marker for keeping track of rounds, yarn needle for sewing up. 3 x 2.4cm crosswheel Dorset buttons, instructions below.
The pattern is worked in the round. Place a removable stitch marker to keep track of rounds. The yarn ball and needles motif is worked using the 2 stranded colourwork technique.
