Placing an order

Due to the high number of parcels not reaching their destination in Europe we have decided to send all our European orders Royal Mail Tracked and Signed. We're sorry but this means a substantial hike in the cost of shipping, and potential delays in despatching your order as we will have to take it to a Post Office. Your order total does not include any taxes or charges you pay when your order reaches it's destination. You will need to keep a close eye on your spam as we are finding the email notification from some tax offices are going into spam, and some parcels are being returned to us, or just disappearing, due to unpaid tax. We apologise for the inconvenience and hope the situation improves soon! 

Navigate to the product you wish to purchase. Click on the colour you want and add the amount into the quantity box. Click the add to cart button. Continue shopping or click the basket button and follow the prompts for delivery and payment. 

If we don't have the amount of  product you want in stock a notice will come up telling you how many we have. We can usually order more if you contact us. Stock levels are not controlled by an automated system. If you have ordered something we have sold out of in store before we can take it off from the website we will let you know. Normally we will order it for you and let you know when it's due in. We may need to refund on certain items, especially unique skeins or sale basket products. 

PDF files are normally sent via a Dropbox link. You can then download your file from our Dropbox to your computer or tablet. You will need Adobe to read them. If you don't have Adobe there are free versions to download from Adobe. Please be aware that due to the nature of the product we do not refund PDF files. If you are struggling to download your file please contact us and we'll do our best to help.

For custom orders please contact us. If you are in a hurry for your order please contact us before ordering, especially for dyed to order yarns, so we can give you a realistic time frame for dispatch.

Click and Collect

Our click and collect delivery option is available within a 25mile radius of the shop. If it doesn't give you the option at checkout and you want to collect please contact us. Please put your address in to get the click and collect option to appear. The system needs to know where you are to judge the distance from the shop.


Our shipping charges are based on the combined weight of items in your cart at checkout. Orders will be sent by Royal Mail Click and Drop. Occasionally we will use another courier if necessary. 

If we are at a show there may be a delay in your order. Please check our events diary for details of our shows. Dyed to order parts of your order may take a few days. We will keep you updated on the status of your order via email. We do our best to keep stock levels up to date but we sell our stock though our bricks and mortar shop as well as online, which means that occasionally we may be pout of stock for something on the website. If this is the case we will contact you via email with an expected delivery date. 

Shipping includes packaging, postage and transport to our nearest Click and Drop point. 

Due to COVID affecting the postal service please allow extra time for your delivery. We use Royal Mail for the majority of our deliveries. Service updates for Royal Mail can be found on their website.

Due to a doubling in the prices of shipping overseas we have taken the decision to send NON EUROPEAN overseas post via surface mail, which can take up to 12 weeks depending on where you are. If you would like your order faster please contact us and we can check your order weight and charge the appropriate shipping. A small parcel is typically £29 air mail, as opposed to £13 for surface mail. We apologise for any inconvenience.

We are unable to ship packages in excess of 1.9KG to international addresses. Please contact us for instructions if you need more than 1.9kg shipped to an address outside the UK. We may be able to split your order into two parcels.

About Beaker Button Products
Whenever possible, we use the manufacturers' images of their products. For our own range of Beaker Button products we use our own images. Whilst they and we take great care over colour accuracy, the limitations of colour representation and variations between computer screens mean that image colours can vary from actual product colours.  Please use the images we provide as a close guide, but do not rely on them for exact matches such as for colour matching against fabric. Please contact us if you wish to receive samples of our fabrics – we offer a free samples service for many of our products.
To make a purchase
For each item you wish to purchase, simply add the item to your shopping cart whilst you are viewing it, specifying how many of the item you would like. At any stage in the shopping process, you can go to your cart and review what you have gathered, change item quantities, decide to remove something from your cart, as you wish. Delivery charges are based on the weight of the items purchased and will be shown next to the total price of the goods in your cart. When you are ready, select the checkout option, select your prefered shipment and payment methods and provide your payment details. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Switch, Solo, Delta, Electron, Visa Debit and Paypal for on-line purchases. We do not add a transaction fee for your use of any of these payment methods.

Write to us at the mailing address above. Please enclose a copy of your order and provide us with a contact number so we can reach you should we have any queries. And for those shoppers able to travel to our shop, you may select the Collect in Store option at checkout.
We accept all of the above payment methods plus cheques or postal orders for telephone and mail purchases.  If you pay by cheque, please write your cheque guarantee card number and expiry date on the back of your cheque, otherwise we have to wait for the cheque to clear before we are able to despatch the goods you have purchased. We do not accept cash for on-line, telephone or mail purchases.

Out of stock products.
Occasionally something you've bought on the website may be out of stock, due to it being sold in our bricks and mortar shop at the same time. If this happens we will contact you via email at the earliest opportunity to let you know whether we can order the item in and inform you of any delay in delivery time. If we can't order the item in we will refund that item from your order. We endeavour to keep our stock levels accurate but we are a small shop and don't have the capacity for separate web stock. 
Credit and Debit Card Security
All card details are handled securely and in full compliance with the payment card industry’s data security standard. All card security details are protected carefully whilst within our control, no card security details are ever allowed out of our control, no card security details are retained beyond the time needed to effect your payment, and any card security details that might have been written down as we process your payment will be shredded promptly. We provide each customer with the customer copy of the payment receipt and retain the merchant copy, as we are required to do by the payment card industry, in case there are any questions relating to the payment transaction. The merchant copy does not include any details that would compromise the security of your credit or debit card.
Delivery commitment
We aim to despatch all goods purchased either the same or next business day.  Please allow a reasonable amount of time for your goods to arrive once despatched according to the delivery method you have selected. If you do not receive your goods within the expected period, please contact us and we will endeavour to locate your goods. Whilst we use only reliable shippers to convey goods to customers, occasionally goods can get delayed or misplaced by the shipper. If any goods are lost by the shipper we can replace your products for you only if Recorded or Tracked delivery was selected at checkout. If you do not pay for Recorded Delivery with your purchase, we cannot be held responsible for lost items in the post because we cannot ourselves receive compensation.
Returns are accepted up to 28 days from the date of purchase provided all returned items are in “As new” condition.  We offer you the choice of either a refund or credit against your next purchase if that purchase is immediate.
Resolving issues and disputes

All intellectual property of Jen Best, such as trademarks, trade names, photographs or registered designs remain the property of Jen Best. 

Members sign in
You will be required to register your identity in order make a purchase. By doing so, you will be able to access your order details and account history after the purchase is made.   
When you register, please provide accurate and current information as prompted by the appropriate registration form. We will use this information when sending you the goods you have purchased and will not accept any liability for goods wrongly dispatched if that is due to the information you have provided not being accurate and current. You may review, correct, change, or update your membership information by visiting the members section of the Site.
As part of the membership sign in process, you will be asked for your e-mail address and password.  You may not choose an e-mail address that is or may be protected by trademark or other proprietary rights law, is vulgar or otherwise offensive, or may cause confusion. If you have reason to believe that your password is no longer secure, you must change your password promptly by updating your member information. If you have forgotten your password, please follow the prompt signs at sign-in. Do not telephone us, as we do not personally have access to your sign-in password.
We reserve the right to change any part of this agreement without notice as we find necessary and your continued use of the Website will be deemed as acceptance of this agreement.
Please check these Terms and Conditions from time to time in case such changes have been made. 
Limitation of liability
Under no circumstance will we be liable for indirect, special, or consequential damages including any loss of business, revenue, profits, or data in relation to your use of the Website. 
Nothing within this Agreement will operate to exclude any liability for death or personal injury arising as result of the negligence of Beaker Button, its employees or agents.
Governing law and jurisdiction
This Agreement will be governed by the laws of England and any user of the Website hereby agrees to be bound exclusively by the jurisdiction of English and Welsh courts without reference to rules governing choice of laws.
