These slippers are knitted using Aran weight yarn (I've used Beaker Button Bountiful Aran in the example). This pattern is knitted flat and has a three needle cast off at the toe.
It would be suitable for someone with a small amount of knitting experience.
Tension: 10cm x 10cm square = 14 sts x 24 rows in garter stitch, size 5mm needles or appropriate size to achieve the correct tension, 3 x 5mm double pointed needles for casting off the toe, Beaker Button Bountiful Aran 100g, 160m. 4 Dorset buttons 2.6cm. I used a contrasting thread for my buttons. You will need 4 brass rings 2.6cm across and 10m of 4ply. You will also need a blunt needle.
Sizes: small is about 20cm long, medium is about 22cm long and large is about 24cm long.
