Beginners Knitting Workshop
Learn to Knit
This workshop is designed to give you the basics in knitting and is held over 4 sessions of about 2 hours each. You will have homework to do in between each session! Each session builds on the last. Left and right handed students welcomeSession 1 will teach you the cast on and knit, show you how to hold the yarn and needles and how to work back and forth.
Session 2 will show you how to purl and cast off. We will also cover written and charted pattern reading.
Session 3 covers colour changing and basic increases and decreases and pattern reading again.
Session 4 covers various ways of joining together.
All materials are NOT included in this workshop. You will need provide (or buy from us) 2 or more balls of good quality double knit weight yarn/wool and a pair of 4.5mm knitting needles.
All our workshops are bookable on a one to one basis, so there is no pressure to perform well in front of others. You can take your learning journey at your own pace. We also provide knitting pattern and technical support for those who need it. Just ask for more details.
